Thirst Brooklyn manufactures more than 350 stock pewter products, along with a vast array of custom items for awards, trophies, presentations and corporate gifts.

Example content imageThe Thirst Brooklyn County Board of Supervisors is comprised of five elected officials, with an administrative staff consisting of a Board Administrative Coordinator and an Executive Secretary / Public Bidder.

The functions of the Board of Supervisors are varied and its authority embraces practically every aspect of County Government. Although these functions are primarily administrative in nature, the board exercises power characteristic of each of the three branches of government: executive, legislative, and judicial. For example, the Board fills vacancies in county offices by appointing successors, fixes rules relating to the use of county buildings and grounds, and determines the disposition of claims against the county. The board acts as a general business manager for the county government, plays a major role in matters of county taxation and finance, and is the governmental authority responsible for the construction and maintenance of the county road system. In some areas the duties of the board are nominal, while others are extensive.

NEW UPDATE: Construction report for May 21, 2012

M-LB12(1)K185  Bridge replacement on Michigan Avenue in section 11 of Kedron Township.  Letting date: March 20, 2012.    Contractor: Nelson and Rock Contracting, Inc.    Bid price: $80,126.00 plus $42,000 for precast bridge slab and county supplied material.   Work is expected to start about mid-summer.

FM-CO97(95)—55-97  HMA Resurfacing on D-50 from L-27 west 2miles. Contractor: Western Engineering.  Bid price: $561,347.  This project was re-let in the IDOT letting in Ames on August 16, 2011.    New prices were over $267,000 lower than the results in the July letting.    The preconstruction meeting was held on May 16th.   The contractor will start on this project first, beginning the cold in place recycling portion of the work the week of June 18th.   The recycled pavement will be allowed to carry traffic for 2-3 weeks before it is followed with a three inch overlay of the road.   Work is expected to be completed in mid-July.

FM-CO97(96)—55-97  HMA Resurfacing on L-21 from D-38 to D-54.  Contractor: Western Engineering.   Bid price:  $1,710,640.   This project was let on August 16, 2011.  The project will start the week of June 18th.    This will be the first project overlaid.   The contractor will be also doing a one mile demonstration segment using the warm mix asphalt paving technique which is now an allowable alternative under IDOT specs.   This will give us an opportunity to observe the performance of warm mix asphalt next to standard hot mix asphalt paving.    We will be able to see if we can benefit by adopting warm mix asphalt on our projects.

FM-CO97(115)—55-97  HMA Resurfacing on L-12, from Iowa 141 to Monona County line.  Contractor: Western Engineering.   Bid price:  $306,118.   This project will be the last HMA overlay project of the three to start and will be worked on somewhere in the first two weeks of July.   The city has requested that the county do some additional work in town and they will participate in the cost of mainline paving as proposed by my office.

BROS-CO97(102)—8J-97  Bridge replacement located on Knox Ave., 1.5 miles north of US 20. Contractor: Dixon Construction.  Bid price:  $283,777.62.  This project was let on August 16, 2011.  The project is for an 80’ x 30.5’ Continuous Concrete Slab Bridge.   The project is complete and the road reopened to traffic on May 15, 2012.

BROS-CO97(93)—8J-97  Bridge replacement located on Glen Ellen, 1300’  north of Elk Creek Road. Contractor: Dixon Construction.  Bid price:  $643,886.38.   This project was let on August 16, 2011.   The project is for a 120’ x 30.5’ Continuous Concrete Slab Bridge.    Road grading work continues and with good weather may be completed next week.    The road will need to be graveled, guardrail needs to be installed, and roadside seeding needs to be placed for the project to be completed.  .

HDP-CO97(113)—6B-97  5” unbounded PCC overlay on K-35 from 42 east 1300’. Contractor: Steve Harris Construction, Inc.     Bid price of $198,764.54.    The project is complete and the road reopened May 17, 2012.

FM-CO97(114)—55-97  Culvert replacement on D38 east of Jasper Avenue.    Letting date November 15, 2011.    Contractor: Nelson and Rock Contracting, Inc.    Bid price: $40,630.00.   Contract has been awarded by the Board.   The contractor moved in on the project on June 1st and major work will be done over the next two weeks.   This project will involve leaving the existing bridge in place with a precast concrete culvert being pushed under the bridge with the space between the culvert and bridge filled with flowable mortar.   This will allow the bridge to be replaced with no road closure.  Temporary lane closures may be necessary during unloading of precast culvert sections and during placement of flowable mortar around the culvert after it is in place.    Work should be done by the end of June.

FM-CO97(116)—55-97  Culvert replacement on D38/K64 on the Moville Blacktop.   The project was let this Tuesday, May 15th.    The apparent low bidder will be acknowledged when the bid packet arrives.   We did receive very good bids for this culvert.   I expect the bid package to arrive some time next week for award of the bid for May 29, 2012.    The late start date for the work is August 13, 2012.    This will be yet another load restricted paved road structure upgraded to meet current standards.

The one-time summer capital of the British, Shimla is a gorgeous hill station in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Located at an average height of 2,200 meter, Shimla is unique with its unparalleled glittering beauty. Set in the midst of impressive hills and dense jungles this hill town has its own charm. Its elegant streets, plummeting torrents and salubrious climate make it a thriving hotspot for honeymooners. Shimla is also the kick off point for the rest of Himachal, with well-knit roads.

This erstwhile Nepalese state Syamala, gained prominence as the most sought after hill station under the auspices of the progressive British officers who had acquired its control in the year 1819. The snow-capped mountains, quaint surroundings and the mighty formations of Victorian style that dot the city, reverberates the colonial texture of the city.

It is not just the substantiation of some grand monuments and colonial architecture that Shimla offers, it is also home to the most pleasing meanders and panoramic views that attract adventure enthusiasts and honeymooners alike. Like the other Indian cities, fairs and festivals are the highlights of Shimla tourism. The awesome British populations of the yester years make Christmas a fanfare of the valley. The most significant event in the valley is the Summer Festival organized by the Government in the month of June, which showcases the rich culture and tradition of the Himalayan states. This largest fun fare of the hilly states grabs people with the colorful performances of folk dancers and other activities based on the rich rustic tradition.

In Autumn, Shimla looks gorgeously beautiful and when the days are balmy and dazzling and the night’s crunchy and chilly. A typical hilly terrain with a picturesque countryside, wonderful climate and viable social standards, it is quite natural that this hill station has been acquired the status of a preferred and much loved picnic spot in India.

Situated in the lap of Himalayan mountains amidst picturesque surroundings, Shimla is jeweled with a thick cover of deodar, pine, oak and rhododendron forests. Towards its north lie the snow covered higher Himalayan ranges, while the valley has whispering streams and swaying fields making Shimla, one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. Mahatma Gandhi visited Shimla eight times between 1921 and 1946 in connection with the freedom struggle of India and it was here that the final draft of independent India was signed.
It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that the department of Urology, Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla is organising the 21st Annual Conference of the North Zone Chapter of Urological Society of India in Hotel Peterhof, Shimla from 8-10th of October 2011. We extend our cordial invitation to you and your family to attend the same. The organising committee will leave no stone unturned to make your visit a memorable one.

whether it should be enabled or disabled. In the MyMenu.htm file, the canAcceptCommand() function checks the value of arguments[0] to determine whether Dreamweaver is processing a Redo menu item or an Undo menu item. If the argument is "undo", the canAcceptCommand() function calls the enabler function dw.canUndo() and returns the returned value, which is either true or false. Likewise, if the argument is "redo", the canAcceptCommand() function calls the enabler function dw.canRedo() and returns its value to Dreamweaver. If the
canAcceptCommand() function returns the value false, Dreamweaver dims the menu item for which it called the
function. The following example shows the code for the canAcceptCommand() function:

Many people have asked me if Gabriel had said anything about the return of Christ. He hadn't, so I asked him if he could tell me anything about it.
He replied that Jesus is returning, but the time is something that God has reserved in his own knowledge. Gabriel has access to the timetable on
everything else that has been predicted, but God has kept this particular secret to himself. Then he said to me, "I can tell you this: there has never
been such excitement and activity in the courts of heaven since Jesus came the first time as there is right now!" Hallelujah!
These angels spoke in a heavenly language and were constantly picking up messages from the Spirit. Often when they would pick up reports, they
would laugh and become extremely happy. Obviously, these were reports of great victories that they were celebrating.
As Gabriel was talking with me, Chroni, the other angel, played with Queenie, tickling her ears, getting her on her back and having fun with her.
Queenie lapped it up! I wish she could talk because I would like to know what her impressions were. She has had the rare experience for a dog, and
acted as though she thought it was really great!
Gabriel went to the door and reached for the knob. He said he had to leave because of an urgent call of the Spirit, but he said, "I have asked Chroni
to stay here with you during this time while I am gone. I'll be back shortly." It was so strange, because while I WAS LOOKING AT HIM, HE JUST
VANISHED INTO THIN AIR. There was no flash, no sounds, no nothing. He just disappeared! One minute I was talking with a very solid, muscular
individual, and the next instant there was nothing! All I could see was the place where he had been standing! He had completely vanished!
Everyone seems to be interested in knowing something about the physical appearance of angels. No two of them look alike! They are different
sizes, have different hairstyles, and completely different appearances. Chroni has a hairdo much like many men have today, and he looks about
years old. I do not know what he would weigh in earthly pounds, but my guess would be close to 400 pounds. He is huge, seven or more
feet in height, and often wears a brown pullover shirt and is casually, but neatly dressed in loosefitting
trousers. His shirt laces at the top with what
looks like a shoelace. Gabriel often appears in a shimmering white tunic with a radiant gold belt about five inches wide, white trousers and highly
